[Applications and Implications]-
Tasks for the week:
Assignments-:
propose a final project that integrates the range of units covered, answering:
-What will it do?
-Who's done what beforehand?
-What materials and components will be required?
-Where will they come from?
-How much will it cost?
-what parts and systems will be made?
-what processes will be used?
-what tasks need to be completed?
-What questions need to be answered?
-How will it be evaluated?
[My final project is Heat Retention Box]
1-What will it do?
Actual Need Why-
It will be a smart box-on named "HEAT RETENTION BOX" One of the main inspiration for making a heat retentions box is because in this institute, during dinner our institutes cook leaves the premises after 5 pm after making all the food ready for all and there are 100 people taking the food. But the dinner time is at 8:30 pm , so the food is left for unto 3 to 4 hours before it is consumed which leads to cold and taste less food which can also cause other digestions related problems. If my final project is applied here, this could solve some of this issues and help the members of the institute to enjoy good and warm healthy food.
Who's done what beforehand?
lots of company as have designed a HEAT RETENTION BOX which will follow the user.
What materials and components will be required?
My idea is that we can make smart heat retention boxes according to the utensils. First of all, we will prepare a box. You can give the length of width according to the utensil. After that, we will make a layer from inside and between 2 inches to 4 inches. In that part I can make aluminum spread or grow grass. After that, a water-proof polythene will stop it from inside and on. So that the inside water which we will put to heat the food. After that, the place inside it will be made equal to the utensils. And there will be a box lid above the box that can close the box properly so that the air does not penetrate inside the box. There will be a display on the side of the box that will show me about the temperature of the food. In this box I can stay warm for 3 to 4 hours and we do not need gas or other things to heat food.
-LED
-Mdf sheet
-on off switch
-Temperature sensor LM 35
-Wheels ( 3D Printed )
-Relay Circuit board
-LCD Display I2C for Temperature
-Pot
-Heating coil
-Aluminum foil
Glass wool for insulation
Where will they come from?
I will buy Electronics components from local electronics shop. And I will get foam from our lab itself.
How much will they cost?
The whole project will cost around 4000 maximum.
what parts and systems will be made?
1-MDF sheet box about outer box
2-Acrylic sheet box in my switch box and electronic parts box
3-I made Input and output board also relay board in my final project
All the components will be made myself.
what processes will be used?
Following processes will be used :
1.Computer Aided Design
2. 3D printing
3.Electronics Design
4. Electronics production
5. Embedded Programing
what tasks need to be completed?
Till now, I have completed electronics part and I have checked the circuit & embedded code on a ready-made box case design. Next task to be completed is to design my own cases, wheels & suitcase, 3D print the required parts, assemble them & test the circuit with actual final assembly.
What questions need to be answered?
I can do a research to find the best material in correlation with the lowest price.
How will it be evaluated?
If the board sensor works correctly it will be a success, but it would be great if it will be useful for someone.
Projects can be separate or joint, but need to show individual mastery
of the range of skills covered
